I can't think of a creative title for this blog so you'll just have to deal. My friends Lina and Amy and I went to Transformers 3 last night. It was good but a little long and of course, the original is still the best. The theater we went to was in the mall and it was newer so everything was really nice. The tickets were a bit pricier because it was newer but our tuk tuk driver didn't know where the other theater was we wanted to go to. One thing we learned about the first week of class was that before EVERY movie, everyone is required to stand up for the King's anthem. Thank god we knew about it beforehand because otherwise we would've been very confused. It was a really cool thing to see and experience though. After the movie got over the mall was closed so we just followed people to try and find a song thauw or tuk tuk. However, we were lead to the parking garage and came out a back way and had no idea where the area was to get a ride back to the dorms. I had a mild panic attack but after 20 minutes waiting on a random street we finally flagged down a tuk tuk and made it back "home"!

Charlie, you could work here! Popcorn choices were sweet caramel, cheese, or original.
My first session/class is coming to an end. We had our last in class lecture today before we leave for our excursion to Pangmapha tomorrow. We also had a quiz on Thursday which was pretty basic but then we also have another quiz on our excursion followed by our final on the Friday after we get back.. Can't really say I'm looking forward to either of those. However, I'm really excited for our excursion and to see a whole new part of Thailand! We're staying at a place called Bon Cafe which I guess from what our "Ajan" (Professor) explained are little bungalows. He kind of told us what we would be doing most of the week and it sounds like we have a lot of down time, especially at night. Another thing that is good is that everything on the excursion like food and transportation will be paid for Finally, no hidden costs! Speaking of hidden costs, I paid my electricity and water bill today which was 289 baht which was pretty average compared to what the rest of my group was paying. I don't think I'll have any access to internet up there but my friend is bringing her laptop and we can possibly get WiFi at a nearby coffee shop so if that happens I'll try to write a quick blog entry! But if not I will be back Thursday so I'll post pictures and write about my excursion then! I heard the weather was really hot back home the past couple of days, welcome to my life.. But enjoy your weeks and happy early 4th of July!
